Isaac Koyuk (1928-1994) Eskimo carver, fashioned this snowbird of new walrus ivory, on a base of what appears to be walrus tusk. It has baleen eyes and scrimshawed wings, beak, and back. (Juncos and snowbirds are the same bird)
Bird is 2" long, .75" high, .5" wide. The base is 2.75" long, 2" wide and about .25" thick.
